Helping Disciples Become Disciplers
Campus Staff (On-campus Fall 2026)
Michael Pittman is raising support to join the staff of Emet Ministries, where he hopes to invest his life in helping others encounter Jesus for the first time and grow in a deeper, richer walk with Him.
Michael grew up overseas, where his parents served faithfully on the mission field. He considers it a gift to have been raised in the discipline and instruction of Christ. When he began attending the University of Southern Indiana in 2022, he brought with him a foundation of biblical knowledge and Christian disciplines, but it was in college that the gospel truly captured his heart. During those years, Michael developed a deep personal love for Jesus and a stronger conviction about the urgency and beauty of sharing the gospel with others.
God has given Michael the privilege of befriending young men who did not know the Lord, walking with them through Scripture, and sharing the hope of the gospel. He loves watching the Lord open their eyes, transform their lives, and then equipping them to follow Jesus faithfully. This calling is what excites Michael most as he prepares to graduate and step into full-time ministry with Emet once his support team is established.

Outside of ministry, Michael enjoys lifting weights, playing recreational sports, and spending time with friends. He is engaged to his fiancée, Emma, and they look forward to being married soon. Some of Michael’s favorite books include The Biography of John Paton and Knowing God by J. I. Packer.
