Interests/Hobbies: In their free time, Owen and Elaina enjoy working out, playing sports, discovering new coffee shops, watching documentaries, and spending time with friends and family.
Favorite Verse: Philippians 3:7-9 “But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith.”
Owen’s Testimony: “On March 6, 2017, I attended a Sunday evening service at my hometown church where my father was preaching. As he spoke on the reality of hell, the Lord convicted my heart and made me realize that although I knew about God, I had never truly repented of my sins and trusted in Christ for salvation.
After the service, I spent some time alone reflecting on what I had heard. It was then that God opened my eyes to my need for Jesus and the forgiveness only He could provide. I went to my father and told him that I needed to be saved. He lovingly walked me through the gospel and explained what it meant to place my faith in Christ. That night, I repented of my sins and trusted in Jesus as my Savior and Lord.
Since then, God has continued to shape my life through His Word, His Church, and faithful believers who have invested in me. Seeing the way others poured into my life has given me a desire to do the same for others. I am passionate about helping people understand the gospel, grow in their faith, and develop a lifelong relationship with Christ.”
Elaina's Testimony: “God saved me at a young age when my father shared the gospel with me. He explained creation, the fall, and the salvation available through faith in Jesus Christ. By God's grace, I recognized that I was a sinner in need of a Savior and placed my faith in Christ.
Although I loved the Lord, I lacked consistent discipleship and biblical community throughout much of my childhood and teenage years. That began to change when I became involved at Westwood Church in Evansville while attending USI. Through faithful discipleship, sound teaching, and meaningful relationships, the Lord deepened my love for Him and gave me a greater desire to know Him and make Him known.
Today, I am passionate about walking alongside other women, sharing life with them, and helping them grow in their relationship with Christ. I love studying theology, having meaningful conversations about the gospel, and encouraging both believers and unbelievers to see the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus.”
