AJ Passmore serves as Campus Staff with Emet Ministries. He grew up in Mitchell, Indiana, and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Although he was raised in a loving home that attended church occasionally, he never heard the gospel clearly, and he spent much of his early life believing he was a Christian without truly knowing Jesus. He looked for joy and purpose in worldly pursuits, but none of them satisfied.

During his college years, God used a student named Andrew Sons to share the gospel with him. Through those intentional conversations, AJ came to understand his need for Christ. On September 21, 2017, he surrendered his life to Jesus. Since then, AJ has continued growing in his faith and is passionate about helping others experience the same hope and transformation he found in Christ.

AJ loves investing in people, sharing the gospel, and walking alongside others as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, going on walks, and anything related to Star Wars. Some of AJ’s favorite books are Knowing God by J.I. Packer, Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes, and the entire Star Wars: Admiral Thrawn series.
